the holiday season is all but past and with it so many many tears once again..The happy scenes we so often saw on Telvision of families together the opening of presents and just being together broke our hearts just as years past. Everything we saw or heard brought home to us the sadness and longing we feel for our lovely girl. Alistair should have gone to his Mum and Dad's for Christmas but in the end he spent his time alone, does anyone see how such a special time for so many can bring despair to those who have lost that special person, only having lost that lifelong friend can anyone understand how the sorrow can be so difficult to accept and deal with. Starting to take down the few decorations we had put up, a Carrier bag was lying on the front room bed, lifting it and seeing what was inside I asked Mum who was it for, she looked at me and after a few minutes said I dont know why I bought them but I knew what she meant..the bag had the Broons book and a Broons special anniversary edition..Every year Cheryl would say I hope Santa brings me the Broons book..she always loved to carefully colour the black and white pages in..Just such a little thing brings things back so vividly. So we have something to put in our lovely girls Memory Case, we still have so few things in her case to show for such a vibrant happy life. But how can we put the happiness she gave to us every day of her life in there. How many times do you hear the often mentioned "time heals" well after losing our wee lassie we do not feel any healing,we look at the smiling face and those lovely eyes and our hearts break so many many times just like yesterday, longing to hear her voice or see her lovely smile, she deserved so many more Christmas times... I will not go any farther into how we truly feel but suffice to say we miss our lovely Cheryl more than our words or writing can ever tell..So for Christmas we will go again on Christmas Eve to where our hearts lie and light a candle and stand beside our brave wee lassie..Mum and Dad Alistair crying out for times past..
